Badger rescue from gamekeeper’s snare

15th May 2020

Hit received intel that the Moscar gamekeepers had put snares on an active badger run. The snares were in the Fearnley Hill Plantation at the top end of the Rivelin Valley conservation area and yards from the Wyming Brook Nature Reserve , a SSSI site.

HIT put the gamekeeper under close surveillance and the video tells the story of what happened next.

Grid reference for the snare site is SK 26955 87254.

Please monitor the site closely for wildlife crime and cruelty and share this story widely. HIT.
