Poem – Devils of Horseback

This was very kindly written and sent in by one of our supporters

Devils of Horseback

Up in the morning getting dressed for the thrill

Ride out on horseback ready for kill.

They don’t care for the fox that it runs for its life

They have a different outlook on a beautiful life.

They train and breed dogs to run in packs

For the pleasures of these thrill seekers, out on their hacks.

Silly stupid calls of ‘tally ho’ they mentally cry

For a beautiful fox, is almost certain to die.

The fox is tormented as is flees for it life

As these murdering bastards, ride in all strife.

The objection for them is the death of this fox

If only God would deliver ‘a Fox hunters pox’

You see this may be cruel here now what I pen

Because of these devils on horseback, we may not see foxes again.

There culling them without any thought for nature’s flaw

She secures the strongest that’s for sure.

Now I write at what has appeared

The sight of a fox its bowels revealed.

From its lifeless body who these bastards took

It breaks my heart to even look.

The world has to say if it’s wrong or right

For these devils on horseback to get out of our sight.
