Trio of suspected coursers quizzed 6/1/11

Three men were arrested after a police helicopter was called to track suspected hare coursers.

The helicopter directed officers on the ground at a remote area of Burnt Fen, near Mildenhall, on Bank Holiday Monday at around 10.15am.

The trio were arrested on suspicion of trespassing in pursuit of game and questioned at Bury St Edmunds police station.

The men, a 24-year-old from Lutterworth, Leicestershire, and a 26-year-old and a 29-year-old from Wickford, Essex, were released on bail to return to Bury St Edmunds police station on February 20.

  1. I often wonder what scum like these 3 men would do if there were no animals to hunt and murder, no doubt they would probably be stalking children. It is a well known fact that animal abusers usually eventually turn to abusing children. These men should get a lengthy prison sentence or maybe many many hrs of community service, perhaps some work helping the wild life that would really piss them off.
