Help stop the badger cull

The Welsh Assembly Government has now rejected a legal challenge (click here for more details) to cull thousands badgers in parts of South West Wales. The cull area would cover north Pembrokeshire, and a small part of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire over the next five years as part of their “plan” to eradicate bovine TB. This despite all the evidence from previous culls that badgers do not contribute to the spread of the disease.

The five year slaughter, costing millions to the tax payer, is nothing more than a sop to the dairy farming industry which refuses to accept that its own bad practices and poor husbandry are causing the spread of the disease and is looking for a scapegoat.

If this cull is deemed a success it may well be rolled out to the rest of the UK so it is important we act now to stop the wholesale slaughter of this harmless, native animal.

  1. I have said over and over again that the badger is NOT responsible for TB I am sick to death of these people who only care about killing I think they get a kick out of it. These people will not listen to reason and investigate farming instead of blaming an innocent creature. The badger is a most beautifull animal so innocent and does not deserve to be murdered by these cretins.
